This Privacy Notice explains how Dr. Vikas Bajaj ("I", "me", "my") collects and uses your personal information when you use this website (drvik.co.uk) or submit an enquiry or referral through it. It is written to reflect the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who is responsible for your data
Dr. Vikas Bajaj, Dentist (GDC Registration No. 295776), contactable at [email protected]. Consultations take place at Dental by Design, Sovereign Court, 45 Beadon Road, London W6 0BT.
What information I collect
When you contact me through the website form I may collect:
- Your name and preferred contact details (email and/or phone);
- The treatment(s) you are interested in and your preferred clinic;
- Any message or information you choose to include;
- For professional referrals: the referring dentist’s details and the patient information, clinical notes and images the referrer chooses to upload.
The website also stores a small preference in your browser (for example your light/dark theme choice). See the Cookie Policy.
Why I use it and the lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry or referral — on the basis of your consent, and my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me.
- Where health information is included (for example in a referral), this is special category data, processed on the basis of your explicit consent and for the provision of health care.
Who I share it with
I do not sell your data. I may share it only as necessary to respond to you — for example with the clinic where you would be seen, and with the email service used to deliver form submissions. These providers act on my instructions.
How long I keep it
Enquiry information is kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless you go on to become a patient, in which case clinical records are retained by the treating practice in line with dental record-keeping requirements.
How it is protected
Form submissions are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to your information is limited to those who need it to respond to you.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or ask me to delete your information, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
